School Work
The faculty and administration of BLES believe that assignments are a part of the academic program of the school and a valuable learning experience. Assignments missed due to illness are due within two days of returning to school unless otherwise specified.
The diligent child will be able to complete much of this work at school. We recommend that all pupils have a set place and time for doing homework. We also recommend that each student use an assignment book to keep records of the assignments in each class. It is our goal that our students become self-disciplined in the area of schoolwork, a training that will be helpful throughout life. To that end, we expect the parents to assist their children in their academic studies.
At the teacher’s discretion, a student may be kept after school the day following unsatisfactory work or unsatisfactory behavior. The parents will be notified and must arrange transportation.
